If patients want to be able to view their own healthcare data in their chosen PHE, this data must be made available reliably from the EHR. DVAs (service provider healthcare providers) provide this process, according to the MedMij standard.
Router24 is CODE24's DVA module. It's basically the digital front door to your healthcare information system - it provides the authentication and resource server for data sharing and literally "routes" the data to the right destination.

How does Router24 work?
A DVA according to MedMij
MedMij is a Dutch agreement system with national support for the exchange of health data between patients and healthcare providers. It contains agreements on legal and technical aspects and information security, among other things.
Router24 securely transfers data for use in PHE's, among others, according to the MedMij standard. Router24 performs both the authentication and resource server roles.
Router24's architecture and technical specifications are audited annually to verify that we are fulfilling the role appropriately.
Routing and translation
Combine Router24 with Connect24 to ensure that the data being routed is also delivered in the correct format.
Connect24 takes care of data retrieval and data transformation and Router24 makes sure it gets to its destination.
Router24 can be used as a module in conjunction with any EHR or other type of healthcare system.
